Pool building is concentrated in a few states. Florida ranked first for new in-ground pools in Angi's analysis of 2022 in-ground builds, followed by California, Texas, Arizona and Georgia. Among large cities, Phoenix, Miami, Tampa and Orlando have the highest share of homes with a pool, according to a 2021 analysis of the 50 largest US cities.
